A plastic kit of a light commercial vehicle in 1:24 scale. The real subject is the Korean Hyundai Porter of the second generation in the form with a flatbed cargo body. The MCP designation in the name refers to a production approach in which the parts are molded in several colors of plastic, which simplifies the build for beginners.
In Korea the Porter is an absolute workhorse. The cab set above the front axle gives the vehicle a short length with the maximum load area, so that it squeezes through the narrow lanes of cities and between market stalls. That is exactly why you will meet it with tradesmen, on building sites and in food delivery, and it has become so ubiquitous that it can be considered part of the street scenery there.
The cab over the engine has large glazing, so give time to masking the frames and the interior, which will be clearly visible. It pays to finish the load area separately from the cab, as it is then easier to get into the corners. A vehicle in everyday use rewards weathering: dust on the wheel arches, rubbed edges on the side panels and greasy stains at the tail look more convincing than a perfectly glossy finish.
