A plastic kit of the Japanese New Sileighty sports coupe in 1:24 scale. According to the name it holds parts for the S13 as well as for the later RPS13 version.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sileighty is a Japanese sports coupe created by joining two related cars: the body of the 180SX type, that is, the RPS13, was given the front end of the Silvia S13, so fixed headlights instead of pop-up ones. The conversion was at first done one car at a time in workshops, and only later did a complete version appear for which the name New Sileighty took hold. It was precisely this combination that made the car an icon of the Japanese tuning scene of the 1990s, and to this day it is among the most sought-after subjects for car modelers.
It is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, supplied unassembled and unpainted. The detail in the name suggests that the set reckons with parts for the S13 as well as for the later RPS13 version, so more than one guise of the car can be built from it. The exact extent, the number of parts and the variants offered are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed in the box.
The body will take the fewest mistakes, so clean it up first: cut surplus material and traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little from the part and then sand the area through several grits until the scratches are gone. Wash and degrease the part before painting, apply a primer and build the color up in thin coats. Let the gloss varnish cure well and only then polish. Glue the parts with cement intended for plastic kits, and the clear glazing right at the very end so that the cement does not fog it.
The kit is supplied. Paints, varnishes and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
