An injection-molded plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 in 1:24 scale from Trumpeter - the final production version of the famous German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the last series-produced version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the K-4 (Kurfürst), in the large 1:24 scale from Trumpeter. The large scale allows a detailed cockpit and engine section and finely engraved surfaces. The set normally offers external stores and optional parts; the exact contents of the box and the number of marking options are not stated here.
The Bf 109 K-4 was the peak of the development of the famous fighter and entered service in the final phase of the Second World War. It grew out of an aerodynamically cleaned-up airframe and the powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605D engine; the aim was to close the lead of the Allied fighters. It was marked by cleaner outlines, a revised canopy and changes to the vertical tail. It served with German fighter units.
Paint and accentuate the cockpit and the engine before closing the fuselage. Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, and mask the clear glazing. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush, and put the decals on over a gloss clear coat. Add the external stores last and bring out the panel lines gently with a wash. With its large sets Trumpeter often supplies rubber tires and small photo-etched parts to refine the detail; the tires can be replaced with resin ones for a more accurate shape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
