A plastic kit of the Soviet supersonic fighter Mikoyan MiG-21MF in 1:72 scale from Eduard, in the interceptor configuration. Eduard offers the MiG-21MF Interceptor in several editions with differing levels of equipment (plastic, decals, and photo-etch and masks in some); check the contents of the particular box against the manufacturer's part number for the edition.
The MiG-21MF was one of the most widely used and most capable versions of the MiG-21 fighter (NATO code name Fishbed). It was a single-seat supersonic fighter with a delta wing and one powerful turbojet, with a speed of around Mach 2. In the interceptor configuration the aircraft was aimed at intercepting and destroying airborne targets with guided air-to-air missiles and a cannon. The type served with dozens of air forces.
We recommend working with liquid cement for plastic and an airbrush. Dry-fit the parts before gluing. MiG-21MF aircraft wore opaque camouflage schemes as well as natural metal finishes – with a metal surface a good base coat and metallic paints in different shades to differentiate the panels pay off. Pick out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
