A plastic kit of the third generation of the sports car Mazda RX-7, internally designated FD3S, in the Type RZ grade of equipment. The lightened execution stood at the sporting end of the model line in the range and is one of the most sought-after forms of this car.
The car of the FD3S series was produced from the beginning of the 1990s and to this day belongs among the most admired Japanese sports cars. Under the hood worked a Wankel rotary engine with a pair of sequentially arranged turbochargers, which gave the car an unusually smooth and high-revving manner. The low weight, the balanced distribution over the axles and the cleanly drawn body without needless edges made it a fixture on the circuits. The Type RZ grade aimed at drivers who gave preference to behavior in the corners over comfort.
The pop-up headlights and their surroundings call for careful handling, so that the symmetry of both sides is preserved. Apply a glossy paint onto a perfectly smooth ground and do not hurry the drying. The cabin you will bring to life by shading the black color toward gray-blue; in shadow it will then not lose its detail and merge into one flat area.
The content is an unassembled plastic model; the painting and the gluing stay with the modeler and his own equipment.
