An injection-molded plastic kit of the 1982 Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo competition car in 1:24 scale. The model captures a compact rally special with an angular body, wide fenders and period fittings. The kit contains plastic parts, clear components for the glazing and the lamps, and a decal sheet for the rally livery. It is an interesting piece for collectors of competition cars of the 1980s.
The Mitsubishi Lancer EX 2000 Turbo was a turbocharged Japanese competition car that made its mark in international rallying in the early 1980s. The combination of a turbocharged engine and a lightened body made it a fast and tough special for demanding special stages. Among other events the car started in the famous Finnish 1000 Lakes Rally, and it is among the predecessors of the later successful competition Mitsubishis.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Smooth the body, apply a primer and spray the gloss color with an airbrush; a gloss clear coat helps under the decals. Finish the interior with the roll cage and the engine bay before you close the body. A rally car suits a discreet weathering of dust and mud on the underside and in the wheel arches.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
