An injection-molded plastic kit of the ultimate form of the Skyline GT-R from the Japanese maker Aoshima, which has long devoted itself to Japanese road and racing cars. The scale of 1:24 is the most widespread one for cars, so the finished model slots easily into an existing collection.
The Z-tune project is the answer of the factory Nismo department to the question of how far the production Skyline GT-R of the BNR34 generation could be taken. The cars were created by rebuilding carefully selected machines, and fewer than twenty of them were made, which makes the Z-tune one of the rarest and most valuable Japanese sports cars of all. The RB26 straight-six enlarged to 2.8 liters gives an output of around 500 horsepower, and it is complemented by a strengthened chassis, widened fenders and subtly reworked aerodynamics that preserve the civilized elegance of the original shape.
Spray the body over a base coat in thin layers and let it shine under a clear gloss coat; mix fine metallic shades thoroughly. Use liquid cement for polystyrene on the plastic and glue the clear glazing with a product that leaves no milky veil. Brush shading and a fine dry brush will bring out the details of the interior.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
