Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR Turbo racing car in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. The model captures the car with race number 9 in the form it wore at the endurance race at Watkins Glen in 1974. The package holds a roll cage, the lower part of the engine and gearbox, a racing interior and decals for the period livery. The parts tend to be molded in distinct colors to make building easier. Check the exact contents against the instructions; paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Carrera RSR Turbo was a works prototype with which Porsche tested turbocharging in endurance racing in 1974. The low-slung car with its massive rear wing and wide fenders foreshadowed the marque's later famous turbo specials. Despite its prototype character it managed to hold its own against more powerful rivals and became the forerunner of the legendary 935.
Spray the racing body with an airbrush over a thin primer and polish the gloss clear coat so that the colorful livery stands out well. Detail the roll cage and the interior before closing them in, and mask the glazing. Lay the extensive sponsor decals on a gloss base and seal them with varnish. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic joints, and glue the small parts with forethought.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
