The package contains injection-molded plastic parts, rubber tires, clear parts and a decal sheet with a racing livery; this is a boxing that captures one particular racing appearance of the car. The Porsche 917 was a sports prototype of the turn of the 1960s and 1970s that brought Porsche its first overall victory in the round-the-clock 24 Hours of Le Mans. The short-tail version (917K, for Kurzheck, meaning short tail) stood out for its air-cooled twelve-cylinder engine, low weight and high speed. The car became an icon of endurance racing and is famous among other things for its blue and silver color scheme and for several other celebrated liveries.
Spray the body over a primer and finish the gloss color with a clear coat for depth. Apply the extensive racing decals on a smooth, varnish-protected surface and go over them lightly with clear coat so that they blend into the panel. Glue the clear cockpit parts with a cement that does not fog. Fit the tires with the matching tread pattern at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
