Resin 3D-printed fishtail exhaust stacks for the Spitfire Mk.VIII in 1:24 scale from Eduard. A replacement for the plastic exhausts with more faithful parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set contains a set of fishtail exhaust stacks produced by direct 3D printing in resin. It replaces the plastic exhausts from the base kit and brings crisper edges and a realistic hollow at the opening.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was a high-altitude fighter with a strengthened fuselage and a supercharged Merlin engine. Fishtail exhausts were among the characteristic recognition features of the power unit on Spitfires of this generation.
First wash the parts to remove residues of uncured print resin, carefully cut off the print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It is ideal to bring out the metallic and burnt shades with a combination of a dark wash and pigments that imitate the discoloration of red-hot metal.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
