The small off-road vehicle of the JB23 type is one of the most popular Japanese off-roaders of all. The model in 1:24 scale follows the special Land Venture edition and the white pearl finish given in the name. You will build a classic injection-molded kit in which the body, the chassis and the cabin are each worked on separately.
The JB23 was created at the end of the 1990s for the Japanese kei class, which firmly limits both the dimensions and the displacement. Even so the vehicle kept a ladder frame, solid axles and a low-range transfer case, that is the equipment of large off-road machines. A short wheelbase and low weight give it abilities that bigger cars do not dare attempt, which is why it is still used in the mountains and on snowy roads today.
Assemble and paint the frame and the axles before you close them in with the body, otherwise you will no longer reach them. White pearl needs an even base, ideally a light primer with no patches. Set the plastic wheel arch trims and the bumpers apart in matte black, so that they clearly differ from the glossy body. Paint the front grille and the radiator mesh with a fine brush only once the paint is finished.
The kit is unpainted and unassembled; the chemicals and tools for it have to be bought separately.
