The Suzuki Wagon R RX of 1993 in 1:24 scale, a model of the kei car whose concept founded a whole new class.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of a small Japanese kei car in 1:24 scale. The subject is the RX version from the year of the launch, from the time when the car was still showing what could be done with a minimal footprint.
The Wagon R came to market in 1993 with an idea that looks obvious in hindsight: if the rules for the kei category limit length and width but not height, then the way to space is upward. A tall boxy body with almost vertical sides offered interior room that no car of similar dimensions had had until then. The success was such that the competition had to answer with tall kei cars of its own, and this format became absolutely central on the Japanese market. The RX designation belonged to the better-equipped versions of the range.
In 1:24 scale the car really is tiny, so every detail carries weight. The sharp edges of the body need an even coat with no build-up in the corners, and the black plastic surrounds deserve precise masking. The wheels sit tight in the corners of the body, so check how they are seated before the glue sets.
The set arrives unassembled and without paint and assumes you have your own modeling supplies.
