Stupeň 1600ST byl vstupní verzí s jednodušším šestnáctistovkovým čtyřválcem, zatímco 1600GT dostával výkonnější dvouvačkový motor a bohatší výbavu. V katalogu najdete obě provedení jako samostatné karty.

Celica první generace se během výroby měnila a Hasegawa vydává jednotlivé ročníky jako samostatné boxy. Rok 1970 tedy říká, které dobové provedení předlohy model zachycuje.

Nejlepších výsledků dosáhnete samolepicí metalickou fólií, kterou přitisknete a přebytek odříznete ostrým skalpelem. Chromová barva je jednodušší, ale nemá takový lesk.

Sestavení je zvládnutelné, ale detaily jako chromové lišty a dobový interiér chtějí trpělivost. Pro úplně první automobilovou stavebnici bychom volili model bez tolika chromu.
