This injection-molded plastic kit by the Japanese firm Tamiya captures the Toyota GR Supra in the version completed with genuine sports components from the GR Parts program. Against the basic release, new molds with aerodynamic features, a wing on the trunk lid and different wheels have been added. The nineteen-inch forged wheels of the TRD brand are faithfully molded in the set, and sports exhaust tips are not missing either. The finished car measures 183 mm in length, 85 mm in width and 54 mm in height.
The GR Supra returned to the range in January 2019 as a two-seat coupe with the engine at the front and rear-wheel drive. It came into being in cooperation with BMW, with which it shares its engineering, and the top form is powered by a turbocharged three-liter inline-six. It is precisely for that car that the maker offers a wide palette of accessories of carbon fiber, forged wheels and exhaust systems, which move the car closer to a track look.
It is best to spray the body with as thin a layer as possible, so that the edges of the pressed body lines stay clean. For imitating carbon-fiber areas, a dark base completed with a fine texture proves itself. In the package there are metal transfer decals and masking stickers for the glazing, so the windows are separated off without laborious cutting of tape. You can choose the form for the Japanese, the American or the European market.
The kit comes unassembled and without a coat of paint; you will not find glue or shades in the package.
