A plastic kit of the two-seat Toyota MR2 coupe with the AW11 body designation, in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Toyota MR2 was the first Japanese series-production car with a mid-mounted engine, that is behind the seats and ahead of the rear axle. That is exactly where its unmistakable shape comes from: a short wedge nose with pop-up headlights, a low cabin pushed forward and a flat tail. The AW11 designation given in the name belongs to the first generation of the car, from the 1980s. A two-seat cabin and sharply cut edges make it a typical subject of its time.
It is a kit of a passenger car in 1:24 scale. The extent of the parts, the rendition of the interior and the color variants are described in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
An angular body of the 1980s lives on sharp transitions, so run the sandpaper along the edges, not across them, otherwise they round off and the model loses its character. Think through the position of the pop-up headlights before gluing, because once it has dried you will not change it. Wash the body parts in lukewarm soapy water before spraying and let them dry, and apply the paint in several thin coats. The black areas around the windows and the lower surrounds call for careful masking; on a light body every overrun shows.
For modelers who build Japanese cars of the 1980s in 1:24 scale and for enthusiasts of unusual drivetrain layouts. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
