The small two-seat Toyota S800 coupe of the 1960s as a plastic kit in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This little car stands at the opposite end of the spectrum from the big sedans: it is short, low and above all very light. Weight was its main weapon, because it had little power and had to win its speed through aerodynamics and a slender structure. In 1:24 scale the model comes out really tiny and in a display case it makes a pleasant contrast to the larger types.
The subject appeared in the middle of the 1960s and grew out of a simple people's car, to which it gave a sporting coat. The engine was a two-cylinder unit of modest displacement, but the overall weight stayed well below the usual mark. The car also made its name on the race tracks, where it could keep pace with far more powerful rivals, and in Japan it earned a nickname of its own.
On a body this small every detail counts, so sand the joints carefully and apply the paint in thin coats so that the fine edges are not lost. The chrome details, the door handles and the light surrounds are worth finishing by hand. The small interior can be dealt with quickly thanks to its size, and all the more impression it makes when the gauges and the steering wheel stand out in it.
The package is a kit; the finished look depends on your work with the glue and the paint.
