Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the Japanese company Hasegawa captures the three-door Toyota Starlet of the EP71 generation in the sporting Turbo-S version, in its late form from 1988. Hasegawa is renowned for carefully worked models of Japanese cars of the 1980s and 1990s, and the Starlet fits that line exactly.
The Starlet EP71 was a small hatchback with which Toyota moved this range to front-wheel drive in the middle of the 1980s. The top Turbo-S version received a turbocharged four-cylinder engine of 1.3 liters and, thanks to its low weight, became a favorite pocket-sized sports car; to this day it has a strong following in Japan and among youngtimer enthusiasts. The late version from 1988 is set apart by reworked details of the body and the interior after the facelift.
Sand the body down with fine abrasive paper after the primer and spray several thin coats of gloss clear; a final polish gives it the typical factory shine. Masking tape makes the black trim strips and window frames easier. Matte shades and a fine dry brush on the instrument panel bring out the interior, and the decals should go on a gloss surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
