About product

Eduard 1:24 Typhoon cannons - resin set (1:24)

This is a resin detail set from the Brassin range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory: the set contains finely cast barrels of the wing cannons of 20 mm caliber for the Hawker Typhoon fighter in 1:24 scale. It replaces the less faithful plastic parts and serves a plastic kit of this aircraft.

The real subject

The Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib was a British single-engine fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War period. It was armed with four Hispano wing cannons of 20 mm caliber and was used above all for attacks on ground targets, trains and armored vehicles.

Usage tips

First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut any casting remnants away with a saw or a cutter and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The thin barrels are fragile, so work carefully. Use respiratory protection when sanding.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want faithful cannon barrels with no seams
  • Builders in the large 1:24 scale with an emphasis on detail
  • More experienced modelers used to working with resin

This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
