Most bases for car models offer a circuit or a road. This one takes a different route and moves a car into a parking garage level, that is, into the setting where an ordinary car spends most of its life. It is a finished printed surface, not a set of parts that would have to be assembled.
An underground bay makes sense with models that would look out of place on a racing track: with city cars, with tuned conversions, with company cars and with older production coupes. At the same time it is a civilian setting with no distracting graphics, so it does not overpower the color of the bodywork and lets the paintwork you have done on the model stand out.
A car in a garage photographs superbly in low side light, because the surface is more matte than a glossy tabletop and does not throw sharp reflections back into the lens. If you add small items you have to hand to the scene, you get a small diorama in a moment with no terrain work. The surface will also take the model being set at an angle across a bay, as though it were parked awkwardly.
The car, figures and any garage accessories are not supplied with the base.
