This injection-molded plastic kit from Italeri depicts the first-generation Volkswagen Golf in the service livery of the German police in 1:24 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with rubber tires, decals and a detailed engine.
The first-generation Volkswagen Golf was a compact hatchback that defined a whole class of cars from the mid-1970s onward. In the green and white police livery it served German forces as a symbol of everyday traffic in the 1970s and 1980s, complete with beacons on the roof.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic. Treat the body with a primer and paint it with an airbrush. For a faithful appearance, take care over the exact placement of the police decals and over a clean transition between the white and the green. The beacons and the interior details come to life with careful painting.
