About product

A Material That Cures Only Once Mixed

The package weighs 56 grams and contains two separate components. As long as they lie apart, they stay permanently workable and never dry out, so you can take only as much as you need at a time. Only once you thoroughly knead equal parts together does the chemical reaction start: the material first firms up into the shape you give it, and over a few hours turns into a solid material. It can then be sanded, drilled and cut much like the surrounding plastic, and it does not shrink, so no dip appears in a filled seam over time.

What Modelers Use It For

  • Filling gaps at hull seams and wing joints, where an ordinary putty sinks in a thin layer
  • Sculpting tarpaulins, rolled canvas, sandbags or mud on running gear
  • Adding missing shape in conversions and scratch-building
  • Filling bubbles and voids in cast parts
  • Creating a solid seat for mounting a heavy part

How to Work With It

Take equal amounts of each component and knead them until the material has an even color with no streaks. An unevenly mixed batch will never cure properly. Keep wetting your fingers and tools with water as you work, or the material will stick and pull the shape out of place. The surface can be textured with an old brush, a serrated piece of sheet metal, or the imprint of fabric. For clean work, wipe off excess material with a damp cloth before it sets, since afterward it can only be sanded. Store unopened components separately and preferably in a cool place — contact between them triggers the reaction even without kneading.

FAQ

Take equal amounts of both and knead them to an even color. An insufficiently mixed batch stays soft and never cures fully.

Keep wetting your fingers and shaping tools with water. A damp surface won't grab the material, and you can refine the sculpting to a finer detail.

Yes. The cured material takes both dry and wet sanding, and accepts a primer coat just like the surrounding plastic.
