An injection-molded plastic figure of a German field gendarme of the Second World War period in the large 1:16 scale by Das Werk. The figure captures a member of the field gendarmerie (Feldgendarmerie) with his characteristic chest plate and helmet. The package also holds photo-etched parts for the plate, the buckles and the badges, and clear parts for the optics, so fine detail can be achieved.
During the war the Feldgendarmerie filled the role of the military police and traffic service. It checked papers, directed traffic and kept order in the rear areas and close to the front alike. The badge of its members was a metal chest plate worn on a chain. The figure is treated factually as a historical military subject and suits bringing dioramas with checkpoints or vehicle movements to life.
Clean the flash off the parts and glue them with a thin cement for plastic, and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. In the large 1:16 scale the painting of the face stands out, so work with the layering of flesh tones and with shading. Bring the uniform out with a wash and a dry brush, and polish and highlight the metal plate gently. Treat the figure with a primer before painting.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
