Rail Center - Classic American Railroad Companies Vol.VI

Rail Center, Classic American Railroad Companies Vol.VI

The sixth volume of the line of paint sets AMMO of Mig Jimenez devoted to the classic American railroad companies. The set holds acrylic paints thinnable with water, suitable for brush and airbrush alike, and it is intended for painting models of vehicles and railroad equipment. The focus of the volume and its exact composition are stated on the box of the product.

What you get with such a set

• A matched palette of shades for one railroad theme, so there is no need to hunt for colors bottle by bottle.
• An acrylic base that is thinned with water and calls for no aggressive solvents.
• Paints usable on vehicles as well as on trackside equipment and on the buildings around the line.
• A base that washes, filters and pigments from the same railroad line follow on from well.

Use

• Shake the bottles thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Degrease the base and apply a primer, on which acrylic holds best.
• For an airbrush, thin the paint with water or with acrylic thinner; for a brush, thinning is usually not necessary.
• Apply in thin coats and let each one dry before you add the next.
• Under decals use a varnish compatible with acrylic and at the end even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

For railroad modelers working with American subjects and for builders of dioramas who want a whole scene matched in color. It serves as a complement to the earlier volumes of the line as well.
