A set of replacement main landing gear wheels for the P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The wheels have a hub with six spokes and tires with a block tread; masks for easy painting are included as well. The parts are made by quality 3D printing in resin by the Czech manufacturer Art Scale.
Wheels are clearly visible on a fighter model, and replacing them with finely printed resin parts with a faithful tread markedly raises the overall impression. The enclosed masks make the clean separation of the tire color from the hub easier. The set is intended as a refinement of plastic P-47D models; the model itself is not included.
Wash the parts, separate them from the print supports and clean them up gently with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue. Paint the hubs in a metallic or colored shade according to the subject and use a matte rubber color on the tires; fit the mask for a sharp transition and finish the surface with light dusting.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
