An injection-molded plastic kit of the American muscle car Dodge Challenger R/T of 1970 in 1:25 scale from AMT. It is the collector USPS Auto Art Stamp Series edition supplied in an attractive tin box. The model is molded in white, clear and tinted plastic and completed by chrome-plated parts, black rubber tires and a decal sheet with several color options. The difficulty corresponds to a more advanced beginner.
The Dodge Challenger R/T was the flagship of the Dodge pony car and muscle car offering for 1970. It came with a wide range of strong V8s, a bold design with a long hood and an aggressive rear end. R/T (Road/Track) denoted the higher-performance version. The model allows the car to be built with an optional powerful multi-carburetor V8, a spoiler, two hood options and a removable roof.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Smooth the body, apply a primer and spray the gloss color with an airbrush; a clear gloss coat helps under the decals. Finish and paint the engine compartment and the interior before closing the body up. Fit the chrome-plated parts only after the surrounding area has been painted, and protect the clear parts from being fogged by glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
