Replacement modeling tracks for the Centurion tank in 1:25 scale from Friulmodel. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for a model already bought: the tracks from the box are replaced by this set, which offers a truer shape of link and, above all, the possibility of shaping the run. Check the exact number of links and the contents of the package on the box of the set.
The run is assembled progressively, link by link, into a continuous whole. Before you fit it to the running gear, try dry how many links the model needs, so that the run does not inadvertently end in the middle of the drive sprocket. The most valuable property of an assembled run is the sag: on the upper run, let the track dip slightly between the return rollers, because that is exactly what separates a living model from a stiff one. Painting is easier off the model. First the base, then a darker shade in the recesses, and finally dust and mud with pigments; the treads and guide horns are usually picked out with a metallic shade or graphite to make them look worn.
Reckon with the time. Assembling a whole run is slow, patient work and is better suited to more experienced builders. The reward is detail that cannot be imitated with one-piece parts.
This is an accessory for the build, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
