Hasegawa 1:2500 Space Pirate Battleship Arcadia, third ship – a plastic kit of the ship in the form from the story Galaxy Express 999 Another Story Ultimate Journey.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the famous pirate spaceship in the small 1:2500 scale. It is the form of the third ship as it appears in the story Galaxy Express 999 Another Story Ultimate Journey. The small scale makes the model a compact display piece that will fit even into a crowded cabinet, and yet it keeps the characteristic silhouette with its long hull, massive stern and prominent ram bow.
The Arcadia is one of the best-known ships in Japanese animation and appears in various versions across several series and films. The individual ships of the same name differ in the shape of their superstructures, the layout of the bridge and details of the armament, which is why the first, second and third ships and their variants are distinguished in the modeling range. This release captures the third ship.
In a small scale the cleanliness of the work counts for more than the number of details. Test the hull joints dry beforehand, and once glued sand and polish them, because on an unbroken surface every scratch shows. Paint with an airbrush and in thin coats, or the fine engraving will be lost. Lay on gloss varnish before the decals, and once dry unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish. A dark wash in the engraved lines and gentle drybrushing of the edges will give the model depth and make it look bigger.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
