Middle East AFV Set D (BMP-1 and BMD-1) is an injection-molded plastic set of two Soviet infantry fighting vehicles in 1:72 scale from S-model.

The set holds two different Soviet infantry fighting vehicles, the BMP-1 and the airborne BMD-1, in markings referring to their use in conflicts in the Middle East. The injection-molded plastic parts make it possible to build both machines. The model will please collectors of modern armor who will appreciate two vehicles in one package.
The BMP-1 was the first Soviet infantry fighting vehicle, with tracked suspension, a low silhouette and a turret with a short gun and an anti-tank missile. The BMD-1 was based on it in concept as a lighter, air-transportable version for airborne units. Both vehicles spread to a number of armies and proved themselves in combat in conflicts in the Middle East too.
Assemble the smaller parts and the running gear carefully and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend a base of primer, painting with an airbrush and weathering built up with washes and pigments for the dust and sand effects typical of a desert setting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
