The model is put together from a system of interlocking bricks and shaped parts that hold with a firm joint, step by step according to the instructions. The parts are made already colored, so once assembled the finished model is ready to go straight on the shelf. The 1:48 scale gives the result enough size for the silhouette of the aircraft and the complexity of the airframe to stand out.
The Tornado is a combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing that came out of cooperation between Great Britain, Germany and Italy in the Panavia consortium. The designation GR.1 belongs to the strike variant of the Royal Air Force, intended for attacking ground targets in all weather and from low altitudes. The crew consists of a pilot and a navigator seated one behind the other, and power comes from two afterburning turbofans. Its own armament includes built-in 27 mm Mauser cannons, while under the fuselage and the wing the aircraft carries bombs and rockets. British GR.1 machines saw combat use among other things during operations in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990s.
