What the package offers

Crystals of resin in a turquoise color version, in the medium of the sizes offered. They are finished shaped features: nothing is assembled on them, they are only placed and glued. The same range is also produced in a smaller size and in further color versions, so they can be combined to create a cluster in which small pieces grow around several more prominent ones.

Where it fits

Above all into fantasy and science-fiction scenes: on bases of figures, into cave settings, into mining scenes and everywhere something unnaturally colorful is to rise out of the terrain. The turquoise tone also suits water and ice subjects, because it comes close to the color ice and shallow water have in shadow. On an otherwise earthy base it works as the single color accent that draws the eye.

How to work with them

• The crystals are not polystyrene and cement for plastic has no effect on them; use super glue.
• Wash and degrease the glued area and the foot of the crystal beforehand, otherwise the joint will not hold.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder.
• The crystals have their color tone from production; repainting would lose it.
• A light base under the foot brightens a crystal, a dark one mutes it.
• Add loose terrain at the very end, so that dust does not settle on the crystals.
