1:32 Brasilian Mirage 2000 C - 40th Anniversary Of 1st Air Defence Group Special Scheme

The real subject

The Mirage 2000C is the single-seat fighter form of the French aircraft with a delta wing and no horizontal tail, that is with a characteristic triangular silhouette. Besides the French Air Force the machines also served in further countries, and some of them went overseas after being withdrawn from home service, among other places to Brazil. Special finishes for unit anniversaries are among the most striking on these aircraft, because the large areas of the delta wing give a designer room that is not found on other types.

What the sheet contains

The sheet is listed for 1:32 scale and for the Brazilian form of the Mirage 2000C in the special finish for the 40th anniversary of the air defense unit. The extent of the sheet, that is which parts of the finish are decals and what has to be sprayed, together with a list of the accompanying lettering, is given by the manufacturer in the enclosed instructions.

• a decal sheet in 1:32 scale
• the subject of a Brazilian Mirage 2000C in a special finish
• the anniversary scheme of an air defense unit
• an accessory for building a model, not a model on its own
• the extent of the sheet according to the manufacturer's instructions

Application tips

These are wet decals. Cut the motif out as closely as possible and soak it in lukewarm water until it starts to release from the backing. Varnish the base beforehand with a gloss varnish, so that no air is trapped under the decal and no matte outline forms around the motif. Carry large pieces together with the backing and slide them into place on the model. Press the water out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges; on areas full of detail a decal softener will help, used according to the instructions on its packaging. Coat the finished surface with a varnish to the sheen you want.
