A fire station playset kit in 1:20 scale from the Junior Kit range. The whole range rests on a simple screw system: the parts are put together and secured with a screw, so the set comes together step by step and can be taken apart and built again at any time. It is therefore a kit and a toy in one, with which a child learns to work from instructions and to proceed step by step.
Assembly runs in whole sections and with large, easily gripped parts. The instructions lead step by step, so even a younger child can see what comes next. It works well to sort the parts into piles by step beforehand and to keep the screws in a dish so they do not get lost. An adult is more use as a guide to the instructions than as the one who builds the set for the child.
Once it is finished the set does not end; quite the opposite. The fire station becomes a base for play: vehicles can be driven into it, roads can be built around it and other elements in a similar scale added. Being able to take it apart means a child can go through the building again at any time, so the set lasts far longer than an ordinary toy.
