DP Casper LEFT HOOK MAY 2000 decals in 1:48 scale

This is a set of decals for aircraft models in 1:48 scale, not the model itself. DP Casper builds its sheets around particular military operations, and this one is tied to the closing phase of the Eritrean-Ethiopian War, that is to the fighting of May 2000. The theme

The war between Ethiopia and Eritrea of 1998 to 2000 was one of the few conflicts of its time in which both sides put combat aircraft and helicopters of Soviet design into action. The aircraft of both sides carried unusual combinations of camouflage and markings, so a model built from this sheet looks different in any display case from the ordinary machines of Western or Russian users.

Use

• Coat the surface under the decal with a gloss varnish, so that the design settles without silvering.
• Cut the design out close to the printing and soak it in lukewarm water.
• Set the decal in place, smooth it down with a soft brush and draw off the excess water.
• On a broken surface a decal softener helps.
• Once dry, spray the model with a varnish in the degree of gloss you want.
