This is a set of painting masks from the manufacturer Art Scale in 1:48, not a kit of the aircraft. The marking one-sided in the name places the set among the single-sided ones, that is for masking from one side of the glazing. It is a simpler solution than the double-sided variant, which the manufacturer offers for the same type separately. If what you are after is mainly straight and sharp frames on the outside, this set will do its job. The cutouts match the parts of the Eduard kit the set is used with; with another manufacturer the shapes differ.
The Fw 190A-7 was a transitional subversion from the end of 1943 that linked the widespread A-6 series with the later and most numerous A-8. The most conspicuous change was heavier armament placed in the engine cowling; because of the larger weapons the covers in front of the cockpit had to be bulged, which is clearly noticeable on a model. Relatively few of them were built, so it is a rewarding choice for modelers who want to avoid the most common variants. The basic shape of the cockpit canopy stayed the same as on the rest of the A series.
Wash and degrease the glazing so that the edge of the mask seats along its whole length. Move the pieces with tweezers and press the edges down with a toothpick, since an edge that does not seat is the most common cause of paint creeping under. Spray in several thin coats and take the mask off shortly after the paint is touch dry, before it cures completely. Work the sliding canopy separately and fit it at the end.
