Decals 1:72 B-17G Mediterranean Forts from SBS Model bring markings for aircraft of the US Fifteenth Air Force operating from Italian bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from SBS Model is devoted to the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bombers that operated from Italian bases in the Mediterranean with the US Fifteenth Air Force. It is not a kit but a decal sheet with alternative markings for finishing a model you have already built.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was the ultimate version of the American four-engined heavy bomber of the Second World War, with a chin turret and extensive defensive armament. Aircraft of the Fifteenth Air Force flew raids from Italy against targets in southern and central Europe, complementing the strategic offensive mounted from Britain.
Apply the decals over a gloss coat, which will keep the carrier film from silvering. A softening solution will help the decals adhere to the surface and to the detail. Once they are dry, seal the surface with a matte or semi-gloss protective coat.
