SPN125 stainless plastic nippers are Japanese nippers 125 mm long intended exclusively for plastic kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese-made nippers with an overall length of 125 millimeters, with stainless jaws and a flat flush cut. The version is intended for plastic, that is, for separating parts from a kit sprue and for shortening plastic pins and profiles.
An edge built for plastic is ground to a sharper angle than general-purpose nippers, so it enters the material with less resistance and leaves a smoother cut. That is exactly why it does not take hard material. A single cut into steel wire notches the edge, and the notch then prints into every later cut. It pays to keep plastic nippers separate from the rest of the tools and to watch what gets cut with them.
Turn the straight side of the jaw toward the part, cut in two goes and level the remaining gate with a blade. With thick gates, thin the material down first and do not try to cut through in one bite. Wipe the jaws after work; stainless resists corrosion, but residues of paints and glues keep the edges from closing.
Nippers reserved for plastic are the simplest way to keep an edge in condition throughout the build of a big model.
