Quickboost 1:32 Macchi MC.202 Venturi tube

This is a small resin detail part in 1:32 scale that replaces the plastic Venturi tube on the model of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter. On this aircraft the Venturi tube served as a source of suction to drive some of the flight instruments, and the casting captures it with a delicacy that injection-molded plastic achieves only with difficulty. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for superdetailing.

Use

  • Separate the part carefully from the casting block with a sharp knife or a fine saw.
  • Wash it in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove any mold release agent residue.
  • Bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic will not bond resin.
  • Apply a primer suitable for resin before painting.
