This set contains a pair of German spoked wheels of the size 760 x 100 mm in 1:32 scale. The parts are made by modern 3D printing technology with a finely rendered spoke pattern and tire profile. The set serves as an aftermarket accessory that replaces the wheels from the original kit and raises the fidelity of the landing gear. It is not an aircraft model in its own right.
Spoked wheels of this type were used on a number of German aircraft of the First World War, for example on machines by Albatros, Fokker, Pfalz, Roland and Rumpler. The exposed wire lacing of the wheel is a characteristic feature of the designs of the day and will noticeably enliven the look of a finished model or of a diorama with a damaged aircraft.
First wash any print residue off the parts and separate them carefully from their supports. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The spokes and the tire are easy to set apart by shade; the fabric covers on wheels were often sprayed in a color similar to the covering of the airframe.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
