Fairey Gannet AS.1/AS.4 - a painting mask for national and aircraft markings in 1:48 from the firm Eduard makes the accurate spraying of national insignia and codes easier, in place of decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of cut self-adhesive painting masks of the brand Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory to one: the masks make it possible to spray the national insignia (roundels), the aircraft codes and other surface markings directly in paint, without using decals. The material is flexible kabuki tape, which copies the shapes accurately and holds on curved surfaces as well.
The Fairey Gannet was a British carrier-based anti-submarine and patrol aircraft with a characteristic pair of contra-rotating propellers. The AS.1 and AS.4 versions served with the Fleet Air Arm in the 1950s and 1960s. Spraying the markings with masks suits above all where the thick layer of a decal would look unnatural.
The accessory does not contain paints or varnish; those have to be bought separately.
