Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts for sharpening up Bell P-400 Airacobra models in 1:72 scale. Photo-etched parts add fine details that cannot be molded in injection plastic in this scale, and so they lift the overall look of the model above its state out of the box. The parts are separated from the fret, shaped with tweezers and glued in the places indicated.
The Bell P-400 was the export version of the P-39 Airacobra fighter, with its unconventional layout of the engine behind the pilot and a nosewheel landing gear. P-400 machines found their way back into American service and fought over Guadalcanal in the Pacific, among other places. The aircraft was known for its heavy centrally mounted armament.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and shape them with flat tweezers. Glue the small photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate; larger areas can also be tacked down with PVA glue for photo-etched parts. Degrease the parts before painting and sand the fine edges gently.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model of an aircraft. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
