These are replacement parts made by 3D printing, not a kit of the aircraft. The set brings the curved variant of the exhausts of the German Henschel Hs 129 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale with open mouths. It differs from the straight variant precisely in the shape of the stubs, so before buying, compare photographs of the machine you want to build. The set is designed for Hasegawa or Hobby 2000 kits.
The Henschel Hs 129 was designed as a specialized attack aircraft against ground and armored targets. The pilot sat in an armored cockpit with a limited view and the design was subordinated to resistance against fire from below. Production machines of the B version were powered by radial engines of French origin, which were available but sensitive to dust. Individual machines differed in details of their equipment, including the form of the exhaust stubs, which changed during production and in field modifications. It is precisely these small things that make a difference on a finished model.
The printed parts are accurate but more brittle than injection-molded plastic. Cut the remains of the supports off with a sharp knife, level the areas with a sanding sponge and wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Secure the joint with cyanoacrylate glue. The exhausts will stand out with a dark base, rusty shades and fine soot weathering; it suits to draw the exhaust stain onto the area behind them as well, so that the model looks as though it has been in service.
