The BMW 320i E46 is a mid-size touring car whose racing form stays close to the production body. Mainly the interior, the wheels and the brakes change, and accessories are added to the body, so the car keeps its civilian outline and yet is recognizably a racer at first glance. The model captures this circuit version.
The 1:24 scale is the most widespread one for cars. The body is large enough for the interior, the dashboard and the chassis to come out, and yet the finished model does not take up much room in a display case. The list of parts, the overview of the decals and the recommended build sequence are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
With racing cars it pays to work from the chassis and the interior toward painting the body, because a painted part is harder to handle. Wash and degrease the body before painting, apply the finish in several light layers and let each one dry. If you mask the windows, put the mask on before spraying, not once the finish has dried. Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface, otherwise matte edges will appear under them.
The kit suits modelers who already have a few car models behind them and want a car with a bold color finish and plenty of interior detail. The larger scale is welcoming to the less experienced as well, because the parts are not as small as on smaller models.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
