1:72 EA-6B Prowler-Rookie is a decal set from the manufacturer Geronimo72Art for a model of the carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft Grumman EA-6B Prowler.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal set from the manufacturer Geronimo72Art is intended for modelers who are building the carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft Grumman EA-6B Prowler in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit and not a finished model but an accessory with which an airframe that has already been built and painted is fitted out with markings. The name also gives the designation Rookie, which sets this set apart from the other sheets from the same manufacturer for the same type.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler arose from the carrier-based bomber A-6 Intruder and it was a four-seat machine intended for jamming enemy radars and communications. The crew consisted of a pilot and three electronic systems operators, who worked the equipment for finding and suppressing air defenses. Its characteristic features were the tall fairing on the vertical tail and the ECM jamming pods under the wing. The Prowler accompanied the strike squadrons of the US Navy and the Marine Corps and was deployed in practically every conflict from the 1970s until it was withdrawn.
You prepare the base best with a gloss varnish, on which a decal will not be left framed in matte. Work with tweezers, seat the decal and shift it with a brush and water, and only then press the air out with a soft cloth. On engraved panel lines and rivets use decal softener. The grayish low-visibility schemes of naval aviation tend to be broken up, so compare the layout with the instructions first and work one side of the fuselage at a time.
