This is a resin detail set of the cockpit in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit, which replaces the interior from the kit with more faithful resin parts. The set is intended for more experienced modelers building the Douglas A-1H Skyraider.
The A-1H Skyraider is an American single-seat piston-engine attack aircraft with a big radial engine, which served from the postwar years and became famous for its long combat sorties in support of ground forces. Its roomy cockpit with a richly equipped instrument panel and lever controls lends itself perfectly to a faithful rendering. The set refines the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and other details of the cockpit.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay down a primer before painting; the instrument panel comes out well with a wash and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
