A resin detail set from Aires for models of the A-4 Skyhawk light attack aircraft in the Israeli Air Force version, in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the plastic exhaust nozzle with a faithful casting with a properly deep and detailed interior, which in plastic tends to be shallow and simplified. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for the rear fuselage.
The exhaust nozzle is a prominent element on which the difference between plastic and resin shows up strongly. The Aires casting adds depth, ribbing and a faithful geometry of the nozzle. It is fitted in place of the original plastic part at the end of the fuselage.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways when sanding resin. The inside of the nozzle comes out well after spraying metal shades and a light wash for a burnt effect.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The glue, the paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
