A set of painting masks, A-6E TRAM Intruder, in 1:32 scale from Eduard. They serve for accurate masking of the glazing and other areas while painting; the model itself is obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eduard painting masks for the A-6E TRAM Intruder carrier attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki tape, follow the framing of the canopy and other areas exactly, hold well, leave no adhesive residue when lifted off and can be used again if handled with care. The set makes clean spraying of the glazing and of sharp color transitions easier.
The Intruder is an American two-seat carrier attack aircraft intended for destroying ground and naval targets in all weathers and at night. The A-6E TRAM version was fitted with a system for detecting and attacking targets using several sensors, which made the use of guided munitions more accurate. The aircraft served with the US Navy for many years and was committed in a number of conflicts.
Stick the masks onto a clean and degreased surface, do not stretch them and press the edges down with a stick or a toothpick so that paint does not run under the edge. Spraying with an airbrush in fine coats is ideal, and the masks should be lifted off while the paint has only just dried. Besides the glazing they also suit the masking of sharp color boundaries as shown in the instructions.
The masks are not a model. This is a set of masking tapes for that type; the kit itself, paints and glue have to be obtained separately.
