This product is not a model of an aircraft. It is a resin replacement part for the cockpit, specifically the pilot's seat for models of the Japanese carrier fighter A6M2b in 1:32 scale. A resin casting allows finer shapes and thinner walls than can be achieved in injection-molded plastic, which shows clearly in a large scale, especially with the cockpit canopy open.
The Mitsubishi A6M2 in the Model 21 form, also marked A6M2b, was a carrier fighter with a radial engine, long range and a low structural weight. A characteristic feature of this form were the folding wingtips, which allowed handling in the cramped spaces of ship elevators. On this type the pilot's seat had a lightened structure with holes, a detail that is worth bringing out on a model in a large scale.
First wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent, so that release agent residue from the mold is removed, otherwise the paint may not hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a cutting disc and sand the surface down; protect your airways while sanding resin and work wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate; ordinary modeling cement for plastic does not work. Spray the part with a filler primer and paint it before gluing it into the cockpit, because access will be limited once it is seated. Belts are not part of the casting; if you want them, deal with them separately.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. We recommend checking the match with your own kit.
