Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from the maker Quickboost is a resin replacement for the exhaust system in 1:32 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail part for the plastic kit of the Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero fighter. The A6M5 version was marked by individual ejector exhaust stubs, which used the push of the exhaust gases to raise thrust slightly. The cast exhausts have faithfully open mouths and a fine surface. Check the exact contents of the package against the particular edition.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier-based fighter of the Second World War with a radial engine. The A6M5 version was a later, more potent variant with changes to the engine and the exhausts aimed at higher performance. The Zero was one of the main fighters of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It works well to spray a primer, then the metallic and burnt shades, and finally to pick the mouths out with a dark wash and pigments.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and any other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
