This resin add-on set from Quickboost (a line of the maker Aires) brings precisely rendered onboard gun barrels of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero type 52 fighter in 1:32 scale. The fine resin castings replace the plastic barrels from the box and are made for easy drop-in fitting. This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft kit.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the main carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. The A6M5c type 52 version had reinforced armament with a mix of machine guns and cannon in the wing, and it is their muzzles that this set reproduces faithfully, free of the thickness inherent in plastic parts.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting block and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal muzzles of the barrels come into their own once painted in a dark metallic shade with the wear brought out.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
