An add-on set in 1:32 scale with the AGM-88 missile for models of combat aircraft. These are external stores, and the model of the aircraft is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AGM-88 is an anti-radiation guided missile that Western combat aircraft carry for suppressing hostile air defenses. The missile is known under the designation HARM and homes on the emissions of ground radars, so it appears mainly on machines intended for attacks on radar sites. On a model it is a conspicuous store that tells at a glance what task the machine is armed for.
It is an accessory for a model of an aircraft in 1:32 scale, not a model in its own right. It replaces or supplements the external stores from a kit. The exact version of the missile, the number of pieces in the package and whether racks and adapters are included are stated by the manufacturer on the box and in the instructions. Also check against the documentation for your own machine whether it really carried this missile, because the stores differ between individual versions of an aircraft.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand off the remainder carefully, so as not to spoil the shape of the body of the missile and the fins. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and apply a base coat. A small amount of cyanoacrylate glue works well for bonding. Fit the missile to the rack only after both parts are painted, and check its axis against the longitudinal axis of the aircraft, otherwise the store will visibly sit askew.
The set is for the modeler who wants armament more refined than the contents of the box offer. Unless stated otherwise, the model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package.
